For ages, it has universally been believed that the anatomy (physique) of a human and other living beings is bestowed with an immortal “Soul (Atman) or Spirit” that is spiritually depicted as an “immaterial essence, animating principle, or actuating cause of an individual life.”

It is also credited with “ability to enliven the body.”

Also, it is believed that there are certain powers of the “Soul” : “Power to Accommodate, Power to Tolerate, Power to Pack Up, Power to Face, Power to Discriminate, Power to Judge, Power to Co-operate, and Power to Withdraw.”

If we further delve into knowing about the “Elements of Soul”, studies by the spiritually-enlightened wise men have revealed that: “The appetitive part deals with bodily desires. The spirited part deals with passions that are not strictly embodied, such as anger at being insulted or the drive to distinguish oneself. The rational part seeks truth and uses logical thinking.”

Let’s now try to know about the “Divine Virtues/Spiritual Qualities”. They are: “Love, Compassion, Empathy, Forgiveness, Faithfulness, Generosity, Charity, Chastity, Sincerity, Courage, Patience, Diligence, Wisdom, Healing Energy, etc.”

It has been advocated: “All human spirits have these divine virtues, but for many they remain untapped and overshadowed by physical desires.”

Accordingly, “Love” is “an intense feeling of deep affection for someone or a keen interest and pleasure in something.”

This prime divine virtue can also be defined as “having a warm personal attachment to someone or something.”

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.” – Thus goes the famous poetic interpretation in 1 Corinthians of Holy Bible as per the spiritual website Bible Gateway.

Has “Intelligence” any link(s) with “Love”?

When the ChatGPT was queried if intelligence affects on one’s ability to love, pat came the reply: “Intelligence can certainly play a role in one’s ability to understand, navigate, and express emotions, including love. However, it is not the sole determinant of one’s ability to love. Love is a complex emotion that can be influenced by a variety of factors, including personality, upbringing, and past experiences. Additionally, intelligence can take many different forms, such as emotional intelligence or social intelligence, which may be more or less relevant to one’s ability to love depending on the context.”

It being now an emerging scientific era of “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and most of the big and well-established business organizations evincing keen interest in opting for AI as a more powerful tool for better and more convenient business dealings these days, researchers like Marcus Buckingham have discovered that the human virtue “Love” still reigns supreme for which he prefers “Love” to the ultra-modern scientific marvel “AI”.

Buckingham bats for “Love” in business, because his research has detected: “Love powerfully drives the behaviour of a consumer and an employee.”

Throwing more light to his point of view, Buckingham elucidates: “When someone says he/she ‘loves’ doing a certain activity, it means that the person is flourishing. Employees who ‘love’ what they do feel at ease, in control, deeply absorbed in what they’re doing, and are more productive. Customers who ‘love’ a product are not only loyal; they’re likely to become advocates for a brand.”

It is a fact that technology today has unprecedentedly enabled the global populace and day-to-day activities to have an easy access to myriad of information, learn as well as utilize skills and hassle-free techniques. Google is a glaring instance.

On the contrary, there is a yawning gap between something ‘natural’ and ‘artificial’.

It would be better here to quote former Vice-President of India M Venkaiah Naidu, who on a special occasion in December 2017 had outpoured his powerful feelings by saying, “Google can’t replace gurus.”

Mr Naidu had voiced this while emphasizing on the importance and relevance of human teachers and value-based education even amid the advancement of scientific marvels and tools.
